I had a brilliant time tonight playing with the Philharmonia Britannica orchestra! We played Mahler's 2nd Symphony which is also known as the "Resurrection" symphony. Our conductor Peter Fender is one of the most musically inspiring conductors I've ever played under the baton of and were joined by two soloists Zoe South (soprano) and Anna Loveday (mezzo-soprano). We played in St John's Church, Waterloo, which is a beautiful church you should visit on one of your days out in London. I was playing in the first violin section of the orchestra and we did a really lovely job playing together as a section - everyone was very welcoming and had a good sense of humour! It was a really enjoyable experience and I look forward to playing with the Philharmonia Britannica orchestra again!
